Started two new long term garb projects. First a fully embroidered mans linen tunic. Off white linen with blue silk embroidery. Inspired by another pattern darned fragment in the Ashmolean Museum called Textile fragment with diamond-shapes and geometric patterns.
Second is a ladies linen tunic dress also to be embroidery adorned. The ladies dress adornment, is a golden colored linen with cotton for embroidery. Pattern used is also inspired from a Mamluk fragment with numerous examples dated to the fifteenth century. From the book "Embroidery in the Greek Islands and Epirus" by Roderick Taylor.
