One lovely lady in particular runs this webpage
Miraim is a wonderful lady. Encouraging me to keep going. especially, when I was not certain I could do it. She has graciously granted me permission to post my versions of some of the same patterns she has done. Miriam has been a great mentor giving me hints & tips to better understand what I am studying and help with embroidery skill development. She also has done a lot of research on various empires & eras of the middle east regions.
Another lovely woman is Maya Heath who has recently uploaded her research for Mamluk and middle eastern embroidery to Scribd. She has also granted permission, for me to upload some of my versions of charting and patterning of some of the same pieces she has done. In this instance, without one another' knowledge She posted her research the same time I posted my work. Her research on the origins of blackwork is unparalleled. Her guidance has been an asset.
Mathilde Eschenbach, whose page is Egyptian embroidery page. Another kind and generous lady, who has given me some great advice when I was first starting out.
I am very grateful to these ladies for all their guidance and encouragement over the last couple of years. For without them I wouel not have found a new passion in the vast realm of embroidery
