There was a special exhibit about Syria. No photos were allowed in the special exhibits galleries. There was even a virtual tour of a Syrian home. Beautiful artifacts as far back as 2500BCE. Not to mention we could do template rubbings. Which I admit my inner five year old loved. for more information on the exhibit form the Museums website click Syria: A Living History
There was also an exhibit about the man who designed the new entry way to the Alhambra. Visiting there was already on the bucket list now its moved up a few spaces. for more on that exhibit click here.
The main exhibit hall as full of Lovelies. There was a secondary smaller room with only pottery on beautiful display from the 9th through 17th centuries. Five hours was not nearly long enough to spend there. Being a cold rainy fall day We did not get to explore the outside grounds which are also part of the overall Museum experience. Going back for another visit is definitely on the must make this happen list.
Gallery below are a few of the pics I took during my visit. Enjoy!
