First: An Islamic Embroidery page, giving a brief synopsis of Islamic embroidery with information, including the following:
Who were the embroiderers?
What where the materials used?
What colors, patterns and stitches were used?
Second: A "cross stitch" pattern page, consisting of patterns charted from surviving fragments found in various books, museum websites and articles.
Still in process: The pattern darning page, with over a dozen patterns in various stages of completion. This is taking the longest to complete at this time. These last few patterns for this page are more complex and time consuming than earlier charts. The double running pattern page is closer to completion. I will make sure to post another update when they are done. As always, I am making sure to do a "test run" on all my patterns as live versions, before creating a final PDF version of the chart for others to use.
I wish everyone a Happy Holiday season and prosperous New Year! CHEERS!
